I create art for subcultures that influenced my work as I was growing up. Since the early 90s, my art has appeared on t-shirts, skateboards, punk flyers and record covers. In a world of digital design, I'm still sketching, inking, hand-lettering, cutting and pasting. Sticking to the old school ways, I embrace an aesthetic that can only be found underground. My interest in parodies was sparked by a collection of "Wacky Packages" cards my uncle collected as a kid and passed on to me. The influence on my style ranges from MAD Magazine to 1980s-90s skateboard graphics.

As a kid, some of the most inspiring imagery that stuck with me came from Berkeley Breathed's "Bloom County",  Ed "Big Daddy" Roth's Rat Fink characters, the fantasy art from Dungeons & Dragons, horror movie posters and VHS boxes, band t-shirts like Alien Sex Fiend, the Social Distortion skeleton logo, The Misfits (all Glenn Danzig art at that time), skateboard art by VCJ (Vernon Courtlandt Johnson) & Jim Philips, Jack Davis' caricatures, Al Feldstein's creatures, R. Crumb comics I would secretly read in the local bookstore, Andy Warhol's screen prints, Hanna-Barbera cartoons, Frank Frazetta paintings, all the punk, metal, and skateboard art by Pushead, Evan Dorkin's "Milk & Cheese", Brian Froud illustrations, Sam Keith's nontraditional version of super heroes, Sergio Aragonés' funnies, Tales From The Crypt & Creepy comics, iconic album covers like The Cramps "Bad Music For Bad People" by Stephen Blickenstaff, The Ramones  "Road To Ruin" by John Holmstrom (all his work with The Ramones & his Punk Magazine art), the many works of Derek Riggs for Iron Maiden, Ed Repka's beasts, David Anthony King's stencils, Graham Humphreys' movie posters and album covers, band logos and flyers by Shawn Kerri, Raymond Pettibon, Gary Panter & Winston Smith.

PUNK AND PARODIES describes a large portion of my work and it's also my signature series of limited edition screen printed t-shirts.
